Synexis® Dry Hydrogen Peroxide (DHP) System

Trane has partnered with Synexis®, the developer behind a new technology that works 24/7 to kill harmful airborne and surface-based microbes in your building. It's called Dry Hydrogen Peroxide (DHP), and we'll help you determine the best way to maximize it in your space.

Born to Fight Airborne and On-Surface Microbes

We are proud to offer DHP technology from Synexis as part of our solutions portfolio. Through Wellsphere™, your dedicated Trane expert will help you determine if Synexis is right for you using a proven 4-step process centered on indoor air quality. We take the time to first assess your current IEQ and operational challenges to understand how DHP will impact your facility. We’ll use the findings from our initial assessment to advise you on the best way to incorporate Synexis into your existing systems. Whether that means integrating directly into your HVAC or managing stand-alone units in each room, we customize our recommendations using tangible data and building expertise to ensure your investment connects back to your business objectives.

What is DHP?

Developed exclusively by Synexis, Dry Hydrogen Peroxide (H2O2) is a pure, unseeable and gaseous form of Hydrogen Peroxide. Synexis Systems create DHP by converting naturally occurring humidity and oxygen that’s present in facility spaces. They can then introduce DHP 24/7/365 to improve air quality and surface cleanliness with very little upkeep, no operating staff and no disruptions to anyone’s routine.

Proven Efficacy. Demonstrated Safety.

In the fall of 2020, Trane partnered with an independent laboratory (LMS Technologies, Inc.) for a series of experiments testing Synexis Systems on their ability to reduce airborne/surface-bound pathogens in different airflow conditions. The results showed that Synexis eliminated pathogens faster than their naturally occurring decay at every air setting, proving it to be an effective purification measure for buildings.

Additional third-party experiments have measured the safeness of Synexis. These studies showed that Synexis’ DHP quantities fall well below the maximum levels of human exposure set forth by the Occupational Health & Safety Association (OSHA)1. The wide range of scientific evidence supporting the efficacy and safety of Synexis makes it a viable IEQ solution for your building and your occupants. Here are some other important facts to know about Synexis technology:

Particles on Fabric
  • Targets viruses, mold, mildew, fungi, odors and other airborne contaminants

  • Contributes no harmful chemicals or unpleasant odors

  • Cleans hard-to-reach surfaces, like tall cabinets, interior desk drawers and more

  • Reduces potential for cross-contamination between affected and non-affected surfaces

  • UL 2998 validated for zero ozone emissions as air cleaners

Assess

Our IAQ analysis measures five key indoor air quality parameters over a two-week period. It includes a comprehensive assessment of your HVAC equipment/components and building automation system data (if possbile). The result is a straightforward report of conditions and improvement recommendations (including anything that needs immediate help or doesn't meet industry guidelines). This all helps identify which Synexis System type best fulfills your building’s logistical needs and how it can best be integrated, too.
