Air and Surface Cleaning Technologies Efficacy Testing

You need solutions that meet your needs.

But how can you be certain when the airborne particles in question are so small, they can’t be seen? How can you be certain about the objectivity and scientific validity of the claims with so many new solutions on the market ? The CDC has issued a strong recommendation to check the facts, and the source.

Why Independent Testing Matters

Trane® has recognized the need for a comparative evaluation of various IAQ technologies and has recently conducted 3rd party independent lab testing.  The knowledge derived empowers our IAQ experts to have fact-based discussions with customers, helping you to make an informed decision about which technology (or technologies) would be most applicable for your needs.

We are also working with the leading industry organizations and sharing our research findings so that together, we could make the world a safer place for all.

No silver bullet

The findings have provided us significant new insights into different technologies comparative performance. The fact is, there is not one product that would outperform all others at all criteria. In addition, there are many other factors that should be considerations when making a decision on which technology to deploy.

We recommend to start with a holistic Trane IAQ assessment to understand your current building conditions and your goals.  It’s a critical first step in developing an effective IAQ strategy with the right solutions to meet your needs.

Consumers should request efficacy performance data that quantitively demonstrates a clear protective benefit under conditions consistent with those for which the consumer is intending to apply the technology. Preferably, the documented performance data under as-used conditions should be available from multiple sources, some of which should be independent, third party sources.
