This course prepares the attendee to take the EPA refrigeration certification exam. Some knowledge of the fundamental concepts of the refrigeration trade, such as heat, pressure, the refrigeration cycle and typical service procedures are necessary prior to the course. A preparatory manual is mailed to the attendee to provide a review of these concepts and to cover other areas to study for the exam. The intent of the course is to rapidly cover the topics that the attendee will need to know to prepare for the EPA exam. Topics covered include the refrigeration cycle, fundamentals of heat and pressure, refrigerants, refrigeration applications, typical service procedures, EPA service regulations including documentation requirements, global warming and ozone depletion.
