Trane Rental Solutions Ensure Comfortable Environment for Visitors During the IAA 2013 Motor Show in Germany
Brussels, Belgium, 09 October, 2013 – Messe Frankfurt GmBH is the world’s largest trade fair corporation with its own exhibition grounds. The company has recently selected Trane, a leading global provider of indoor comfort solutions and services and a brand of Ingersoll Rand, to fulfill their additional, temporary cooling needs during the 65th International Motor Show (IAA) in Frankfurt am Main, Germany.
IAA is the oldest and most comprehensive show of the automotive industry gathering car developers, manufacturers and enthusiasts from all over the world. To provide visitors with the right environment to comfortably enjoy the show, leaders at the Messe Frankfurt GmBH have asked Trane Rental Solutions to supply additional cooling capacity for their Exhibition Hall 3.
As a result, they decided to implement two air-cooled helical rotary RTAD180 chillers with the total cooling capacity of 1,5 MW for the time period between September 4th – 25th.
The Exhibition Hall 3 is one of the most attractive and modern exhibition halls in Europe, with two levels offering exhibition space of approximately 38,000 square meters. During the IAA, the hall hosts the displays of one of the leading European car manufacturers and is expected to attract thousands of visitors.
“Cooling is critical for most businesses, whether it is to create the right indoor environment for buildings during special events or to provide reliable cooling for industrial processes,” said Andreas Stach, rental service sales engineer at Trane Germany. “With Trane rental solutions being specifically re-engineered for rental applications and selected for fast installation and easy operation, we were able to provide the IAA with the right answer to address their needs quickly and effectively.”
The impressive glassed-in hall structure of Exhibition Hall 3 has been designed by the British star architect and industrial designer Nicholas Grimshaw. There are no supporting columns inside the upper level of the glass hall, which means there are almost no limits to the height and width of the displays that can be set up there. Visitors are brought to their desired destinations by a number of escalators and passenger lifts. Refreshments are offered in four bistros, two restaurants and a bar.
Supplemental and back-up solutions help meet non-permanent cooling requirements in a wide variety of facilities, including healthcare, industrial environments, hospitality and retail. Temporary cooling needs can arise due to emergencies, capacity planning, planned maintenance and outages as well as in case of special events or for special applications.
The Trane online portal enables customers to easily obtain information on chiller rental range and availability in different countries across Europe, the Middle East and India.
