Trane Educates CxEnergy 2016 Attendees about the
Benefits of Energy Modeling Tools

Dallas, April 7, 2016 – Trane, a leading global provider of indoor comfort solutions and services and a brand of Ingersoll Rand, will educate building commissioning and energy management professionals about best practices for using energy modeling tool at CxEnergy 2016, held April 11-13 at the Anatole Hilton in Dallas.

Neil Maldeis, energy programs leader at Trane, will discuss how energy modeling software tools can help identify specific energy saving opportunities for both old and new buildings. Energy modeling uses a sophisticated software tool to re-create building systems in a simulated environment.

The simulation displays the building’s systems and their interactions to show how the building is currently operating and demonstrates how the systems affect energy performance. Once the model is complete and verified, users can virtually run the building on the software. This provides a powerful resource for making infrastructure changes in a virtual environment and testing a variety of solutions to determine which would function best in the building.

Attendees will:

  • Learn how to use and apply modeling tools, methods and practices.
  • Discover what’s required to set up an energy modeling system and learn how to perform a high-level cursory review of possible energy savings.
  • Hear about the factors that affect possible savings regarding the efficiency and health of existing building systems.
  • Gain insights from success stories demonstrating how modeling was used to achieve intelligent building results.
