Description

This one-day workshop will cover cooling tower, evaporative condensers and water treatment systems, operation and maintenance. The workshop will focus on “green” treatment programs, chemical vs. mechanical treatments, filtration, Legionella control including testing, limits and remediation, treatment program contracts vs. buy-as-needed basis, and integration of the treatment program with the Building Automation System. Upon Completion of the Workshop You Will Learn: • The differences in types of cooling towers, evaporative condensers, stainless, FRP or galvanized. Cooling Tower preventative maintenance and filtration (types and selection). • Is your building water safe? You will learn if it is. What type of tower will best suit you? • “Green” chemistry program cost vs. technology and testing frequency. • How to determine and evaluate corrosion rates for steel and copper. • Why chilled water loops must not be neglected and how to maximize equipment service life. • If you are compliant with OSHA, EPA, NFPA and California regulations.
