2.X CDU

Overview

High-Flow Liquid Cooling for Evolving AI Platforms

LiquidStack CDU 2.X delivers up to 2.5 MW of cooling at 4°C ATD, with 3,750 lpm at 3.5 bar of available head pressure. This gives operators the hydraulic headroom to meet demanding rack flow and differential pressure requirements as AI workloads evolve.

  1. More Than Megawatts. More Hydraulic Headroom.

As AI rack densities increase, flow-per-kW and rack pressure drop requirements are rising. Headline megawatt capacity alone does not show whether a CDU can deliver the required flow at usable pressure.

With up to 2.5 MW of cooling at 4°C ATD, CDU 2.X occupies the capacity sweet spot between conventional rack-scale CDUs and centralized liquid cooling platforms.

  2. One CDU Architecture. Multiple Generations of AI.

CDU 2.X is designed around changing flow-per-kW and rack differential-pressure requirements, helping support current and successive AI compute platforms without redesigning cooling around one silicon specification.

  3. Configured to Fit Facility Requirements

Configurable power, controls, redundancy, piping and monitoring help align CDU 2.X to site-specific infrastructure, operating models and performance objectives instead of forcing the facility to adapt to the CDU.

  4. Flexible and Resilient Deployment

CDU 2.X supports end-of-row and rack-adjacent layouts, with configurable redundancy strategies and concurrently maintainable components that help sustain resilience in high-density AI environments.

  5. Efficient Integration with Your Facility.

Low-approach thermal performance, warm-water operation up to 45°C and optional ultra-low-harmonic VFDs help CDU 2.X integrate efficiently with facility cooling and electrical infrastructure.
