Trane Clarksville Team Celebrates 60-years of Production

Business leaders and local dignitaries recognize employees for six decades of commitment

Clarksville, T.N., Nov. 19, 2018 – Trane®, a leading global provider of indoor comfort solutions and services and a brand of Ingersoll Rand®, is celebrating its 60-year anniversary of producing commercial heating, ventilating and air-conditioning (HVAC) equipment in Clarksville.

Celebrating with Trane is the Clarksville mayor, Kim McMillan, who recognizes current and retired employees for six decades of dedication, commitment to customers and the plant’s positive impact on the community. The Ingersoll Rand foundation also provided a $6,000 grant to support Manna Café Ministries to give back to the community.

“Employees’ loyalty and long-term commitment to Trane and to making high quality products every day make us a world-class manufacturer of high efficiency HVAC solutions,” said Bob Ellis, vice president of operations for Trane. “Each day we’re honored that they’ve chosen Trane as their place of employment.”

Former employees who worked on day-one along with current employees and their families who helped reach this tenure milestone participated in an open house event hosted at the Clarksville facility.

The Clarksville campus includes engineering, product management, customer support and manufacturing for large industrial and commercial HVAC units. Many of the location’s IntelliPak® rooftop units are used in schools and large industrial office buildings around the United States and in various other countries.

The Clarksville campus is located on 110 acres and is comprised of two buildings totaling approximately 1.245 million square feet. Operations include two manufacturing groups and is home to more than 1500 product engineering, product development, production, quality, finance, order service, customer service and marketing employees.
