How Does an Electric Heat Pump Work?

Dual-Fuel Systems for Cold Climates
In colder regions, a hybrid or dual-fuel system may be the most efficient option. This setup pairs an electric heat pump with a gas furnace. The heat pump handles most of the heating workload, while the furnace activates only when outdoor temperatures dip below the heat pump’s optimal efficiency range. Switchover points are pre-programmed for automatic operation, ensuring seamless performance and energy savings year-round.
