UniTrane® Fan Coil

UniTrane Fan Coils use Electronically Commutated Motors (ECM), incorporating the latest technology for optimized energy efficiency, acoustical abatement, maintenance free and extended motor life. Each ECM lowers operating costs on average of 50 percent (compared to a PSC motor).

UniTrane Fan Coils offer many features that may help IAQ including a standard closed-cell insulation preventing fiberglass in the airstream, easy filter access to encourage frequent changing, and drain pans that are non-corrosive, positively sloped, and cleanable to maximize protection from microbial growth.

All control options are wired with a 24 Vac transformer, keeping a single source power connection requirement to the unit. UniTrane Fan Coils can also automatically determine the correct operating mode (heat/cool) to maintain the space temperature at the active setpoint, allowing for total comfort control.

Two, three, and four-row coils allow design flexibility in two and four-pipe systems. One-row steam or hot water reheat coils for dehumidification on units with Symbio® 400-B controls. Fan motors are available for either high static, up to 0.5" external static pressure, or free discharge applications.

Coils and piping packages are leak-tested before mounting on the fan coil. Coil piping connections are also leak-tested after mounting on the unit. All control end devices and moving components (fans and motors) are computer-tested after units are complete.

UniTrane Fan Coils are built with serviceability in mind with features like a touch-safe control box, an integrated user interface with real language LED display, a built-in tachometer, filters that are easily removable and changed, motors that are easy to disconnect, and drain pans that are easy to remove and clean.
