When you have a Trane smart thermostat and you opt into Trane Diagnostics through the Home App, you allow your Trane dealer to monitor your HVAC system remotely. Remote monitoring of your HVAC system’s health allows your dealer to help ensure your uninterrupted comfort.

If they see an issue with system performance, they’ll troubleshoot remotely (with your permission) and fix the problem remotely if they can. Otherwise, they’ll schedule an on-site visit, and the technician will arrive with the knowledge and parts to fix the problem.

The dealer monitors the health of your HVAC system, which allows them to spot potential problems while they’re still small. With some issues, they can solve the problem remotely (if you give them one-time access), much like a remote IT person can solve an issue on your work computer. This can save both you and the dealer time and money.
