INGERSOLL RAND RINGS CLOSING BELL AT NEW YORK STOCK EXCHANGE TO CELEBRATE BRAND MILESTONES

Swords, Ireland, April 29, 2013 –  Ingersoll-Rand plc (NYSE:IR) Chairman and Chief Executive Officer Michael W. Lamach will ring the closing bell of the New York Stock Exchange (NYSE) in celebration of two milestone anniversaries within the Ingersoll Rand family of brands. 2013 marks the 100th anniversary of Trane, a leading global provider of indoor comfort solutions and services, and the 75th anniversary of Thermo King, a manufacturer of transport temperature control systems for a variety of mobile applications.
