Ingersoll Rand leaders honored Peterson with the company’s 2016 Leadership Award at the organization’s global Integrated Supply Chain Conference. Peterson was selected from among hundreds of integrated supply chain leaders worldwide to receive the award.

The award recognizes Peterson as a strong servant leader who lives out the company’s values, including its commitment to developing a winning team where each employee is engaged and recognized as an important part of the broader team. Peterson’s leadership during 2016 generated top quartile employee engagement scores, the highest of any Ingersoll Rand manufacturing facility in North America.

“Richard brings the winning combination that defines a true servant leader,” said Ted Crabtree, vice president of operations, Residential HVAC & Supply for Ingersoll Rand. “He truly cares about plant employees and he combines this warmth with a strategic, process-and data-driven business mind to generate both higher productivity and more engaged staff.”
