Humidistat

What is Humidistat?

A humidistat, also known as a humidistat control or hygrostat, works with the heating and cooling system of your home to control the amount of moisture or humidity in the air.

What should you set your humidistat at?

Mold stops forming at humidity levels of 68% percent and below but your device may operate with 10% below that and still work at optimum levels.

Is a humidistat necessary?

A humidistat may be necessary if you find that your monthly heating and cooling bills are higher than is ideal. A humidistat will only activate your HVAC and heating systems when it’s absolutely necessary which can help you save money in the long-run.
