It could be a bad control board or a burned out motor. Both of these can stop the humidifier fan from operating properly. Contact a Trane Comfort Specialist™ for help.
The solenoid valve may not be working or you may not be getting power due to a bad control board. If you don’t hear a telltale click when the humidifier is turned on, you’ll need to contact your local Trane Comfort Specialist™. There could also be a block in the in-line strainer or another issue with the drain hose. The hose might need to be replaced. Your local Trane dealer can help with that, too.
The air filters could be blocked and you may need to replace or clean the air filters. Refer to your owner’s manual to determine how often a cleaning is recommended.
This could be a problem with the air filters. Be sure and replace your air filters regularly. There could also be blockages in the clean or stale air vents. If you find a blockage but you are unsure how to proceed, contact an independent Trane Comfort Specialist™.
