In 1979 Byron Chapman took his military experience and education to form Chapman Engineering in Middletown, Kentucky. A family-owned and operated business, Byron's son, Wil, began working at his father's side at the young age of 13. Wil would go on to obtain his journeyman and master license, along with graduating from college with a degree in mechanical engineering and drafting. A family emergency in 2000 would take Byron away from the business. His "sink or swim" moment, Wil took charge of the company and has been leading it since, adding "Heating and Cooling" to the family business name in 2005.
