About the Championship
The ServiceTitan National HVAC Championship powered by Trane, shines a spotlight on the skilled trades and the vital contributions HVAC technicians make every day.
At Trane, we deeply value the dedication and expertise technicians bring to our industry. Through this partnership, we celebrate their impact, empower today’s professionals, and inspire the next generation to stay unstoppable in their pursuit of excellence.
Once a year, two competitions take place: one for HVAC apprentices and one for HVAC professionals. The competition is open to HVAC apprentices with less than 3 years of experience, as well as any professionals who are EPA-certified, licensed technicians, and have over 3 years of experience. Finalists compete for the chance to win a share of $100,000!

Qualifying At-home Competition
The top technicians from Round 2 will be flown to Chicago, Illinois on all expense trip to compete!

The top technicians will compete in the semifinals and finals for for the title of National Champion and their share of $100,000!
Meet the Champions
2025 Professional Winner, Craig Childress
Craig Childress, a 20-year HVAC veteran from Peabody, Massachusetts, works as a master plumber at Boston University and is one of the most accomplished competitors in the trades. A three-time ServiceTitan HVAC National Champion, Craig has built his reputation on consistency, precision, and a relentless drive to improve every day. Known for his humility and leadership, he is passionate about mentoring the next generation of technicians and giving back to the industry.
2025 Apprentice Winner, Braden Reeser
Braden Reeser, a 22-year-old HVAC apprentice from North Platte, Nebraska, has quickly made a name for himself in the trade with just only a few years of experience under his belt. Inspired by working alongside his brother, Braden developed a passion for hands-on problem solving and continuous learning in HVAC. He went on to earn 1st place in the Apprentice Division at the 2025 ServiceTitan HVAC National Championship powered by Trane, showcasing his skill, attention to detail, and ability to perform under pressure.
