WEEC Attendees Learn from Trane How to Optimize
Energy Conservation Methods

Washington, D.C., Sept. 19, 2016 – Trane, a leading global provider of indoor comfort solutions and services and a brand of Ingersoll Rand, will educate attendees at the World Energy Engineering Conference (WEEC), held Sept. 21-23, in Washington D.C., on how to expand beyond traditional building auditing methods to identify optimal energy conservation methods for commercial buildings.

These methods can help energy engineers achieve better results and uncover additional savings strategies that might have been missed using other processes. Patrick Wilkinson, Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED) Accredited Professional (AP), and an energy engineer at Trane, will describe how to go beyond the usage of 15-minute interval data and “traditional” data analytics when predicting and simulating building energy models to accurately provide detailed energy conservation measures and operational savings.

  • Attendees will learn to properly identify optimal energy conservation methods and quantify the benefits they can provide by combining processes that include conducting an energy audit, using modeling software, and conducting procedures of comparative three-dimensional surface calibration plots and statistical calibrations.
  • Seminar titled “15-Minute Interval Data: Going Beyond ‘Traditional’ Auditing Methods” will be held on Sept. 22, at 4 p.m.

Representatives from Trane will be available at booth #602 to discuss a variety of energy saving solutions and services, including:
