Retail and Food Service Executives Learn from Trane Expert about the Future of HVAC System Design and Specifications

Trane showcases new solution to manage HVAC and lighting controls and reduce energy use at SPECS 2014 Conference

Grapevine, Texas, March 10, 2014 – Trane will discuss the future of HVAC system design and specifications and showcase a new energy-reducing heating ventilation and air condition (HVAC) and lighting controls solution at the Store Planning, Equipment, Construction Services (SPECS) conference held March 9-12 in Grapevine, Texas.

New regulations and weather patterns will continue to drive HVAC solutions and technologies going forward, and energy codes and demands will hugely impact commercial refrigeration.  Kevin Bollom, vice president of engineering and technology, Trane, will participate in a panel of senior executives from the major HVAC manufacturers who will discuss system designs and specifications for the future.

The SPECS (Store Planning, Equipment, Construction Services) conference will be held March 9-12, 2014, in Grapevine, Texas. The conference, which has been held for the past 50 years, is attended by retail and food service corporate executives involved in the planning, design, construction and maintenance of stores and restaurants nationwide. This includes presidents, vice presidents, directors and managers of store planning, construction, maintenance and engineering representing the top retailers across the country.  

About Kevin Bollom
Kevin Bollom is the vice president of Trane Engineering responsible for leading the Trane technology and engineering teams. His team of over 1,000 engineering professionals, located across the globe, is responsible for the development/launch of new equipment solutions, innovation/technology, quality improvement, productivity through value add/value engineering (VAVE) laboratory operations and execution of design specials/customer order design.  Bollom has been with Trane for 11 years with leadership roles in integrated supply chain, strategic sourcing, plant management, controls operations, and VAVE engineering. He is located in St. Paul, Minn. Previous to Trane, Bollom worked for Medtronic, Inc. within the medical device field and with Kimberly-Clark within the consumer products field.  He has a Bachelor of Arts degree from St. Olaf College in Northfield, Minn.
