Chance Brofft | National Sales Manager, Oilon
Chance Brofft has 11 years in the HVAC industry, working 4 years for a building automation company , 5 years as a service account manager for the Trane Cincinnati office and 2 years in his current role. He holds a BA Degree from Transylvania University and received his MBA from the University of Northern Kentucky. Outside of work, Chance enjoys playing golf and working out along with spending quality time with his wife and 7-year-old son.
Joe Fida | Chief Innovation Officer, Blade Air
Joe Fida, one of the visionary founders of Blade Air and the Chief Innovation Officer and head engineer at Blade Air, drives the company's groundbreaking indoor air quality (IAQ) innovations. Joe's journey began in the field of chemical engineering and culminated in the co-founding of Blade Air alongside his business partners. Possessing a strong technical foundation and a deep passion for innovation, Joe leads Blade Air's Research and Development efforts, spearheading pioneering IAQ solutions that redefine the industry while championing sustainability.
This presentation will discuss some common challenges and solutions for electrified applied systems. Topics related to hot water supply temperature, where to source heat from and some design best practices will be reviewed. A brief introduction to applied units that can move heat will lead into overall system options and potential solutions.
Dan Gentry | Applications Engineer
Dan Gentry is an Applications Engineer in La Crosse, WI. He joined Trane in 2018 after 8 years at another local WI-based chiller manufacturer. Dan first interned at Trane in the Technology Lab where he worked in the acoustic lab while attending school through 2008. His areas of expertise revolve around chiller plants, heat recovery and heat pump systems and their reliable and efficient design and operation. He graduated from Ferris State University in 2011 with a bachelor's degree in HVAC Engineering Technology and is an active member of ASHRAE. Dan enjoys spending time with his family on the river and relaxing at the family cabin up north.
This presentation will discuss the use of Smart building technology for efficient engineering design and optimation of buildings for decarbonization.
Lukas Glaspell | Account Executive
Lukas is an account executive with the Trane Toronto team, working closely with clients to achieve their sustainability and energy goals by leveraging their building automation systems (BAS), supplying equipment, and optimizing HVAC performance. Through his leadership in low carbon and high efficiency HVAC strategies, Lukas supports clients to create and design HVAC solutions and follows them through manufacturing, installation, and optimal operation. Lukas' current specialization is in electrification of heating and building environment optimization with smart building automation technology. Lukas holds a Bachelor of Applied Science in Chemical Engineering, with a specialization in Environmental Engineering from Queen's University. Lukas actively empowers others to take a step back and consider the holistic picture in every project supporting clients across Canada to achieve their sustainability goals with lasting results.
