Acoustics Update
Meeting the ANSI/ASA Standard
Acoustics is a key component of a high performance school. Trane can help schools create quiet, comfortable environments for teachers to teach and children to learn.
Classroom Acoustic Standard ANSI/ASA S12.60- 2010, specifies background sound levels in a furnished but unoccupied classroom shall not exceed 35 dBA.
Through testing, Trane proved that the Standard could be met using commercially-available, off-the-shelf products and industry-accepted design and installation techniques at minimal additional cost.
Trane can help designers understand the acoustical needs of their projects and suggest HVAC systems that will meet job requirements while meeting the Classroom Standards.
