We changed our name from American Standard Companies to Trane on November 28, 2007, following a successful company separation. The information in the following section includes our former businesses, along with Trane.
Throughout the world, Trane/American Standard strives to be an environmentally responsible manufacturer, neighbor and employer. We are determined to be the best in the eyes of our customers, shareowners and employees.
A key element of this challenge is to be environmentally responsible in all we do and all we make. As a result, our customers can look to us for environmentally responsible products; the communities in which we operate can trust us to be a good neighbor; and our employees can expect and help create a safe workplace.

Environmental stewardship at Trane is driven by priorities that reflect emerging environmental imperatives, stakeholder interests and Trane's business objectives.
Clinton Climate Initiative
Trane, in a partnership with the Clinton Climate Initiative, is helping building owners install high efficiency HVAC systems and solutions to reduce energy use and greenhouse gas emissions with minimal capital costs.
