|
  | Description |
|
| This course promotes the idea of troubleshooting and repair of systems using schematics and wiring diagrams. With a focus on troubleshooting techniques and the concept of internal isolation, attendees participate in the recognition of components and circuits including diodes, capacitors, transformers, relays and more. The latest in ANSI diagrams are discussed, which includes understanding ladders, logic, keys and legends. Circuit board technology in troubleshooting the system will also be discussed. Understand pictorial, line and schematic diagrams and how each are helpful. Review the legend and sequence-of-operation and how to describe the operation sequence using a schematic wiring diagram. Checking Honeywell W973 electronic controls and solid-state diodes, SCRs and triacs will be explained. Learn how to use road mapping and other means to simplify a schematic. Interpret drawings for large roof tops having circuit boards and access by DDC system. The course has 3 lab exercises using a schematic to identify faulty components, converting a line diagram to a schematic and making a schematic by tracing the system wires. Special note: The Electrical Fundamentals class is being held on Monday the Electrical Troubleshooting class is on Tuesday. Taking all three classes offers a comprehensive electrical education! |
