|After a brief review of working with whole numbers, fractions, decimals and signed numbers the course covers working with equations in practical applications. Practical examples are used to describe working with ratios, proportions, weights and measures. The course will cover basic geometry, measurements, basic laws of physics, physical mechanics, energy, pressure, mechanical devices and mechanics of solids. Thermodynamics review includes basic thermodynamics, laws of thermodynamics, thermal conductivity and physical relationships with gases. Incorporated into the class will be energy sources and usage including combustion, electricity and fossil fuels.
