Rental Chillers & HVAC Equipment

Trane provides a wide variety of emergency equipment, portable generators, HVAC transformers, and temporary chillers for an array of short-term and long-term cooling and power needs. All Trane rental emergency equipment requires the use of 460V, 3-phase power. We can also provide HVAC transformers from 300kVA and higher for applications where an alternate voltage is present.

The following is a list of the emergency equipment Trane Rental Services provides and the uses for each so you can find the most appropriate equipment for
your needs.

• Air-Cooled Water Chillers
  Air-cooled rental chillers (10–500 tons) are the ideal emergency equipment for outages, supplemental cooling, temporary cooling, or planned chiller outages to ensure your comfort and processes remain stable in any emergency. Equipment like air-cooled water chillers can be installed quickly and safely.
• Water-Cooled Water Chillers
  Water-cooled rental chillers (250–1,200 tons) also offer support during unexpected outages, planned chiller outages, or can used as supplemental or temporary cooling. This emergency equipment can be used indoors or out, while providing a compact package for your large tonnage needs.
• Cooling Towers
  Cooling Tower (250–500 tons) emergency equipment can be utilized in conjunction with one of Trane’s water-cooled chillers or as a stand-alone rental unit. Cooling towers can be used in emergency situations or for planned service work so you can perform maintenance while keeping your systems operational.
• Air Handling Units
  These 10,000 cfm and 25,000 cfm rental air handling units (AHU) are emergency equipment that can be used in conjunction with Trane chillers, pumps, hoses, flex duct, etc. to create an entire temporary system or as stand-alone rental units. This emergency equipment comes outfitted with variable frequency drives (VFD) to allow the utmost flexibility and can be fitted with high efficiency filters for the most demanding applications.
• Packaged Air Conditioning Units with Electric Heat
  Packaged air conditioning units (25–50 tons) can provide on-site services (links to Event Services page) for special events or can be used as emergency equipment for temporary cooling of data centers or any other facilities. The compact units can be installed quickly and safely.
• Diesel Generators
  Rental Services’ Diesel Generator emergency equipment comes in 60kW to 2,000kW power and can be used for emergency power, temporary power, supplemental power, or standby power.
• Skid Mounted Pumps
  Skid Mounted Pumps from 3hp to 125hp can be used with other emergency equipment like chillers and cooling towers to meet system requirements.
• Flexible Water Hose
  Hose diameters from 2.5 inches to 10 inches can be used with emergency equipment like chillers and pumps to help create temporary water circuits from the inlet/outlet to the building.
• Electrical Cable
  Trane color-coded 2/0 AWG and 4/0 AWG cable with cam-type connections helps with quick and easy hookup to Trane Rental Services emergency equipment. It powers equipment from your site or from a Trane Rental Services generator.
• Flexible Duct
  Trane provides flexible ductwork in 20 inch diameter for use with emergency equipment like air handling units and packaged air conditioning units. It enables air to be supplied and returned to and/or through your building.
• Trailers
  Rental Services can provide flatbed trailers from 28 feet to 48 feet if you are unable to unload the emergency equipment due to physical or
  financial constraints.
