AHRI is the Air Conditioning, Heating, and Refrigeration Institute. AHRI is a trade association that represents HVAC equipment manufacturers as well as manufacturers of water heating and commercial refrigeration equipment.

An HVAC air purifier is an air cleaning unit that connects to your home’s HVAC system. Also known as an air cleaner, air purification systems vastly improve your indoor air quality.

Air conditioners remove heat and humidity from the air in your home and place it outside to reach your desired indoor temperature. Central AC cools your entire home, while ductless AC cools just one portion or room in your home.

Air filters are installed in HVAC systems to remove dust, dander, allergens, and other harmful particles from the air in your home. You can change and maintain air filters on your own.

Air handlers circulate air throughout your home to maintain your desired temperature. They’re typically found inside the home and paired with a heat pump.

Annual Fuel Utilization Efficiency (AFUE) measures how efficiently a furnace converts fuel to energy. The higher the AFUE rating, the more efficient the furnace.
