Trane and Nexia™ Home Intelligence offer a unique system for keeping your home comfortable and secure. You can easily access your home automation system online – from your home computer, tablet or smart phone – and remotely set the temperature in your home and monitor security settings.
We provide some basic Nexia™ Home Intelligence troubleshooting guidelines below to help ensure your system is running smoothly. Remember, you can always contact a Trane Comfort Specialist to assist you with any needed repairs.
If you've ensured everything is set up properly and you are still having connection issues, remember that the thermostat should be within 30 feet of the router for best signal strength when using Wi-Fi. If you are using an Ethernet cord, double check that is properly plugged into the “LAN” router port. Refer to this troubleshooting guide for step-by-step assistance.
While we most commonly get connectivity questions about the system, other issues may arise as you use your Nexia™ Home Intelligence. Your owner's manual can help you with understanding the Nexia™ Home Intelligence system, and you can also refer to the online troubleshooting tips for Nexia's Internet enabled thermostats and Z-Wave thermostats . If you're not able to fix the problem yourself, call a Trane Comfort Specialist to diagnose and fix the issue.
