Commercial Service of Bloomington, Indiana started in 1946 as a two-man operation and built a solid reputation for installing heating and cooling systems, bringing the first air conditioning systems to Bloomington in the 1950s. In 1973, Jules Sonneborn bought the company and started to expand its scope and customer base significantly. His son, Michael Sonneborn, soon took over the company and continued its expansion for the next forty years. By the time Michael retired, Commercial Service had expanded to a company with 30 full-time employees that offered residential and commercial heating and cooling services throughout the state of Indiana. In 2012, the company added plumbing to its area of expertise thanks to a partnership with R&S Plumbing. While Michael Sonneborn has recently retired, Commercial Service is under the sound leadership of Scott Rink, who previously served as the company’s Vice-President of Operations.
Commercial Service currently offers a wide variety of heating and cooling installation and repair services, focusing on quality Trane products. Some of the equipment that the company can install includes central air systems, heat pumps, gas and electric furnaces, geothermal systems, and indeed just about anything that can warm or cool your home or commercial building. Also, Commercial Service offers a full range of plumbing services, including the installation and repair of tankless water heaters and dishwashers. The company cleans drains and installs sump pumps. Commercial service is available 24 hours, seven days a week for any emergency repairs that might be needed for anything it installs and repairs in the way of heating, cooling, or plumbing systems.
