Cool Comfort With Your Air Conditions Systems While Saving Money
Can you stay cool without spending a lot of money?
What is the best way to operate your air conditioning without increasing your electric bill?
Tips to Save Money:
Cooling System Size: Select a correct and appropriate air conditioner system. An oversized system although will cool the room very quickly, but will bring other problems like humidity, compressor over cycling and total discomfort. On the other hand, an undersized cooling system will not adequately cool your home taking too long to reach comfort. In both situations comfort is rarely achieved and electricity consumption is higher than a properly sized system.
Let the Thermostat work: Frequent temperature adjustment could be less effective. The frequent cycling of the unit on and off can cause undue wear and tear on internal components. Adjust the temperature in a comfortable level and let the thermostat perform the work.
Humidity Control: An air conditioning system brings down the indoor temperature while at the same time helps to remove the humidity in the |
room. To help reduce the humidity, we need to create a balance between the time the compressor is running and the time is off, due to the temperature set point. If in a given period of time the compressor is more time off than it is running after a few cycles, humidity in the area will increase, creating an uncomfortable ambient.
Short Cycling: Too many starts and stops of the system will shorten the life of your equipment and increase your cooling bills.
Filter Maintenance: Remove unwanted particles such as pollen, animal hair and dust from conditioned
air, improves system operation and your overall comfort, clean your filter frequently.
Out Door Unit Maintenance: Keep, dirt, leaves, and debris
from clogging the unit. Hot air is discharged upward or side wards away from plants & patio. |
