Trane Tracer UC600 Controller Offers Unique Color Touch Screen That Increases Efficiency and Productivity

Brussels, Belgium, 05 February, 2013 – The Trane Tracer™ UC600 programmable controller, the latest Trane controller to receive BACnet ® listing (BTL) as BACnet Advanced Application Controller (B-AAC), now features a unique user-friendly touch screen to improve operator efficiency and productivity.

Trane, a leading global provider of indoor comfort systems and solutions and a brand of Ingersoll Rand, developed the color touch screen in response to customer requests for a more visually intuitive solution.

The Trane Tracer UC600 features 19 input/output (I/O) points with the option to expand up to 120 I/O points. The unit also offers point overrides with a time limit option, icon-labeled alarm categories, scheduling and data logging capabilities, access to custom graphics and configurable reports.

Additionally, the Trane Tracer TD7 is now available as an option for the Tracer UC600. The seven-inch (17.8 cm) diagonal color touch screen was designed for both indoor and outdoor use.

The Tracer TD7 can be used to view data, including graphics, and make operational changes in any of the 24 built-in supported languages. Customers can create custom reports as well as set up and view trend charts for data logs entirely within the TD7 Operator Display Interface. Alarms are icon- and color-labeled for easy identification of the level of severity.

“The Tracer TD7 full-color touch screen makes it quicker and easier than ever for customers to gain the reliable control offered by the Tracer UC600,” said Hugues Depré, controls project development leader for Trane in Europe, Middle East, India and Africa. “Users can now check unit status at a glance and quickly optimize their HVAC systems with a few simple touches.”

Use of the Tracer UC600 in combination with the TD7 can be easily expanded as a business grows. It has the capabilities to meet the controls needs for air handlers, central heating and cooling plants, cooling towers and other high-point count applications.

Trane controls can be factory or field-mounted on new and existing Trane solutions, non-Trane systems and ancillary components.
