Tracer Summit™ 102

Course Description

Students are introduced to the standard applications and custom programming language (CPL) included with the Summit Software through lecture and extensive hands-on workshops. Topics include:

  • Area Control
  • Variable Air Systems (VAS) [Comm4 and Comm5]
  • Chiller Plant Control (CPC)
  • In addition to the standard applications, the course also covers the custom programming language (CPL) used in Tracer Summit
  • Utilizing the CPL editor
  • Program comments
  • Control statements
  • Defining and initializing variables - integer and floating point
  • Object pointer
  • Enumerations
  • Debugging a problem
  • If-Then-Else statements
  • Local Saved Values
  • For-Next statements
  • Basic arrays

Target Audience

Tracer Summit 102 is intended for Trane technicians and Applied System Contractors who have successfully completed Tracer Summit 101 and have a comfortable solid working knowledge of those subjects.

Prerequisites

Students must have attended Tracer Summit 101.

Continuing Education Units

Upon successful completion of this course, students will receive a certificate of achievement and earn 3.5 CEUs according to criteria set by the International Association for Continuing Education and Training (Washington, DC). To successfully complete this course, the student is required to attend all class sessions, complete the workshops and quizzes throughout the course, and turn in an evaluation.
