Highest standards of efficiency

With a high efficiency Trane system, rising utility bills and energy costs won’t be as much of a burden. That’s because our heating and cooling systems call on fewer resources when in use, so you save more money. In January 2006, the Department of Energy increased the minimum SEER from 10 to 13. SEER (Seasonal Energy Efficiency Ratio) indicates the efficiencies of different types of equipment. The majority of systems installed before 1992 are 10 SEER or below and will continue to drop in efficiency as the systems age. Not only do Trane systems meet the government standard; in many cases, they exceed it.

Highest standards of efficiency

Another standard of efficiency we utilize is a load calculation, which can be performed by your Trane dealer. Most homes today are heated and cooled by units that are either too big or small for the home. When an air conditioner or heat pump system is not the proper size (capacity) for a home, an array of problems can result, including uneven temperatures, improper humidity control, and, over time, a greater number of maintenance problems.
