Trane Catalytic Air Cleaning System (TCACS)
The Trane Catalytic Air Cleaning System can be retrofitted to your existing system
and is a cost effective way to improve indoor air quality in places such as departments
with immunocompromised patients, waiting areas and locations that suffer from engine
exhaust fumes in your healthcare facility.
About TCACS
How it works
- TCACS seamlessly integrates three technologies to effectively improve building IAQ
- MERV 13 rated filters remove majority of 0.3 micron
ultrafine particles and larger
- Ulltraviolet Germicidal Irradiation (UVGI) is used
to damage or kill various organisms on surfaces
and in the airstream
- Photocatalytic Oxidation (PCO) eliminates volatile
organic compounds (VOCs) and small biologicals
Key benefits include
- Significant reduction of microbiological elements (viruses, bacteria and fungi/mold)
- Reduction of organic odors caused by VOCs like engine exhaust fumes
- Highly efficient particle removal
- Minimal maintenance and longer lifecycle than other air cleaning technologies
- Available in a variety of configurations
- Easily retrofit into existing air handling systems
- Factory engineered and installed in new Trane air
handling units
- Curb-mounted for use with existing and new rooftop
packaged systems
- Portable and duct-mounted versions
