Chairman Fred Poses on our Company Values

We changed our name from American Standard Companies to Trane on November 28, 2007, following a successful company separation. The information in the following section includes our former businesses, along with Trane.

Each of us has values that guide us in our personal lives that help us make decisions - and most of the time, the "right" decision seems so obvious that we don't even think about it. Yet I'm sure that each of us has faced situations in our personal lives when the right thing to do wasn't clear or our values were tested. In those times, you relied on the strength of your personal values to guide you through to what's right.

Trane CEO Fred Poses

The same is true of our working lives as part of a global company. We all make decisions in our jobs, and most of the time the right thing to do is obvious. When faced with unclear situations, having a company-wide set of values ensures that we stay on track and preserve our integrity as a company.

Our values determine what's important to us as an organization, and shape how we see ourselves and how others see us. To live up to our mission of being the best in the eyes of customers, employees and shareowners, a global set of values is imperative to define how we behave individually and collectively, as a company.

I'm personally very proud of these values and mindful of the daily commitment it takes for our 60,000 people at every level of American Standard Companies to live up to them.. I hope you can take a minute to click here and become acquainted with our company's values.
