Our Company Values
We changed our name from American Standard Companies to Trane on November 28, 2007, following a successful company separation. The information in the following section includes our former businesses, along with Trane.
Trane's mission is to "Be the best in the eyes of our customers, employees and shareholders."
To support this mission, in May 2002, we launched a set of company-wide values. "A global set of values is imperative to define how we behave individually and collectively, as a company," according to Chairman Fred Poses.
In December 2002, as part of our company values initiative, Trane launched an updated Code of Conduct and Ethics. The code applies to everyone in the company, including officers and members of the Board of Directors.
In this section of our Web site you can learn about our values and download our values statement in languages ranging from Arabic to Thai. You can read Fred Poses' message to employees about the code of conduct, or download the code to read it yourself.
Our company values and code of conduct are designed to guide how those of us at Trane do business, because we know that our customers, shareholders and business partners expect Trane to perform to the very highest standard.
