Environmental Stewardship

We changed our name from American Standard Companies to Trane on November 28, 2007, following a successful company separation. The information in the following section includes our former businesses, along with Trane.

Hazardous and Non-Hazardous Materials

In accordance with our environmental protection policy, we strive to act responsibly to ensure that the generation of waste materials at our facilities is controlled to minimize our environmental footprint using recycling, substitution and reuse. It is expected that minimization of wastes is considered in product designs, process designs, manufacturing operations, maintenance and even our product packaging. Wastes to be treated or disposed of are handled safely and responsibly by qualified, reputable contractors from properly licensed facilities.

Due to the nature of our manufacturing practices, the amount of waste produced is commensurate with the scale of production.
