We changed our name from American Standard Companies to Trane on November 28, 2007, following a successful company separation. The information in the following section includes our former businesses, along with Trane.
Impact of Our Operations
As Trane/American Standard operations have grown to more than 62,000 employees who speak more than 20 different languages and operate in more than 50 countries, we recognize that with global reach comes a shared commitment to "raising the Standard" in every way we can.
We operate facilities that are environmentally sound, conserve resources such as water and energy, look for opportunities to reduce emissions of greenhouse gases and volatile organic compounds (VOCs), and control the generation of hazardous waste. If we discover environmentally unsound actions, we immediately respond by taking remedial or corrective actions.
