We changed our name from American Standard Companies to Trane on November 28, 2007, following a successful company separation. The information in the following section includes our former businesses, along with Trane.
Energy Consumption
Energy efficiency is an important issue for Trane/American Standard. We routinely seek opportunities to identify, develop and implement energy-saving technologies to control consumption and reduce operational costs and greenhouse gas emissions. Additionally, as part of our environmental stewardship activities, we have instituted an energy management program to compile statistical information on our energy and electricity usage on a corporate-wide basis. This information is used to share best practices, establish internal targets and prioritize future energy-reduction projects.
