You will learn how to find, fix, and prevent pump problems to include: alignment, coupling, bearing, seal, and packing problems. Study how centrifugal pumps work, estimate pressure and starting and operation of pumps, look at pump curves and learn how to tell how many gallons per minute you pump, how to tell correct internal clearances, and how to reduce the cost of pumping. Plus, study system design, how to tell the difference between a pump problem and a piping problem, pump suction problems, and troubleshooting pump parts.
