The State of California and the California State Fire Marshall previously established a new Limited License Category (Type L) for the Automatic Extinguishing Program. This Type L License allows the building owner, lessee, or responsible party to internally conduct the required inspections, testing, and maintenance of wet pipe sprinkler systems, standpipe systems, and private fire mains in structures they own, lease, or control. The certificate is in accordance with Title 19, California Code of Regulations, Section 905 that came into effect on December 7, 2009. The NFPA 20/25 Workshop is designed to help prepare individuals to pass the California State Type L license exam administered in Sacramento, California.
