Consulting-Specifying Engineer (CSE) magazine named TRACE™ 700 version 6.2 a Product of the Year - Silver winner in the "Software: Design, modeling, analysis" category. This recognition affirms that our software programs are best-in-class in the HVAC industry – Trane's System Analyzer won Product of the Year - Gold in 2007.
The Product of the Year is a two-part contest. First, a panel of industry experts narrows down the competition to five finalists in each category. These finalists are then published in the CSE Specifiers Guide and voted on by the subscribers of Consulting-Specifying Engineer magazine. All of the winners were profiled in the August 2009 issue of Consulting-Specifying Engineer.
"The Product of the Year competition illuminates the products design engineers and specifiers are valuing for Mechanical/Electrical/Plumbing systems in nonresidential buildings," said Michael Ivanovich, editor-in-chief. "In this tough economy, construction and operating budgets are under stress while sustainability issues for energy, water, and materials are growing. Flexibility, modularity, efficiency and durability seemed to be factors shared by many of this year's winners."
